This is a WONDERFUL video with a fantastic way to memorize scriptures as a family. I LOVE it!!
As I research resources that are available for my children to use online, I come across some really wonderful things that I like to keep here so that not only I can find it later – but it is available for others as well. I am really enjoying the SimplyCharlotteMason approach for copy work and memorization. As I create our Master Plan for the year, I have been able to include several ideas/tips from them. YAY!! I just have Literature & History to break down into DAILY work. I have the Books for the Year each child is studying. I have the main outline for it – what we anticipate learning for each subject, but these are the last to actually have dates and assignments placed with them.
We have 1 week off just about every month due to my husbands work schedule (SO FUN!!) but we are scheduled for school for 43 weeks. Although, some of those include short weeks (for Thanksgiving week) and modified school at the beginning and then end of the year. It is AWESOME to have it all down on paper (via computer) so everything is organized!! It will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice to be completely organized this year and have their assignments ready for them. It will definitely free up my time to work with the younger 4 children (ages: 7, 6, 2, & 1).
The only thing that we will actually have to purchase are books that our library does NOT carry and that I can’t borrow from people in my area. SWEEEEEET!! Good for the budget!! *** I did actually purchase a Math Curriculum for the year for my 8th grader. I feel more comfortable having someone who loves Math teach my children Math. :) It was $65 for the year through YourTeacher. I am quite happy about this!! :)
Enjoy!
Make it a great one!!
